80-35 Festival Iowa 2014All systems go for a supersonic star sighting as revered singer-songwriter, Conor Oberst headlines 80/35 2014, Friday, July 4 in downtown Des Moines.

The planets align for a wondrous weekend of astronomical beats as reggae giant Ziggy Marley, surf pop darlings Best Coast and multi-instrumentalist Xavier Rudd and more blast into orbit. Monitor mission control (DMMC) for the Saturday headliner and additional rocket-powered artists to be announced soon.

Hove Festival 2014After Kendrick Lamar did a killer job at Hove in the past two years, there has been many requests from fans telling festival organisers to book Black Hippy-buddy Schoolboy Q.

A little under two months ago, his third album 'Qxymoron' was released on the legendary Interscope-label. This has led him to various American TV shows, and not least to the front pages of a thick stack of rap magazines this year! And if that wasn't all he also embarked on a three month long tour along with his buddy Isaiah Rashad (who also is associated with the indie label Top Dawg Entertainment).

Sziget Festival 2014The annual Sziget press conference in Budapest took place on 14 April at the well known A38 Ship and provided an overview of current plans on the festival’s program and venue structure.

The organizers also revealed some new names for the line-up, so now it’s official that Outkast, Manic Street Preachers and The 1975 will join the already announced acts, including Queens of the Stone Age, The Prodigy, Macklemore, Imagine Dragons, Bastille, Skrillex, Placebo, Lily Allen and The Kooks. The End Show will be presented by Calvin Harris and now it’s also official that there will be an Opening Show with Deadmau5.

Sziget takes place between 11-18 August and once again provides the festival holiday of a lifetime!

Positivus Festival 2014This year’s Positivus Festival will feature performances by one of the most noteworthy contemporary bands Elbow, along with Anna Calvi, Future Islands, AlunaGeorge, Chet Faker and NONONO, all of whom will play alongside Kraftwerk, Ellie Goulding, Bastille, The Kooks and many more. Positivus Festival will take place on July 18, 19 and 20 in Salacgrīva, Latvia.

Elbow is one of those rare bands that can make grown men weep. They have truly earned their million wide audiences by extensive musical productions of the highest calibre. During the span of their career, Elbow have recorded the 2012 BBC's Olympics coverage anthem First Steps, won the coveted 2008 Mercury Prize, headlined Glastonbury and are showing no signs of slowing down. The band released their critically acclaimed sixth record The Take Off And Landing Of Everything this March.
